The Modern Walls of Jericho

A Call for 1 Million Men to Rest

I’m calling for six days of rest.
From July 1st through July 6th, I want one million men—fathers, sons, brothers, workers—to simply do nothing for the system. Just rest. Stay home. Be with your family. Fix what needs fixing in your home. Eat, sleep, pray. Laugh. Think. Walk. Breathe. But do not clock in, do not grind for someone else’s profit, do not build Pharaoh’s kingdom. Not for six days.

And then, let’s see what happens on the seventh.

Why? Because Jericho Must Fall Again

Remember Jericho?

“You shall march around the city... for six days. And the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets... and the wall of the city shall fall down flat.”
— Joshua 6:3–5

They didn’t use weapons. They didn’t break through the wall with force. They obeyed God, they stayed silent, and they walked.

It was not the effort of men that made the walls fall. It was obedience. It was silence. It was the seventh-day shout after rest.

I believe we are now living in the modern Jericho, a city not built of bricks and mortar, but of control, exploitation, debt, and digital chains. The walls today are glass towers, black screens, and policies written by men who have never labored, never bled, never sweated in the sun to feed their family.

If I had one million men just stop—just rest—for six days, this system would collapse.
Because we are the system. Not them.

The Exodus Still Speaks

“You shall do no work… You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out with a mighty hand and outstretched arm.”
— Deuteronomy 5:13–15

We’ve all been taught to produce. To labor. To earn.
But few are taught to rest.
And no Pharaoh will ever teach you how to stop working for him.

When Pharaoh increased the burden on the Israelites—“make bricks without straw”—they didn’t say no. They groaned, but they still obeyed. They still followed. Just like today.

Men in cubicles, typing out policies that harm the very hands that built the building they're sitting in, have no idea what it costs to be a man. To work, provide, endure. They make rules with no consequence to their bodies. They transfer money, sign digital orders, and live off the labor of those they never see.

They are Pharaoh, and we are building his kingdom again.

No King Has Ever Won a War

“The king is not saved by a mighty army; a warrior is not delivered by great strength… Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him.”
— Psalm 33:16–18

No king fights. No president fights. They sit in palaces and send others.

Even as a boy, I knew better than to follow someone blindly. I got in fights—some bloody, some not—because I refused to be manipulated. One kid would lie, pit us against each other, and sit back to watch. That kid never changed, just like the puppet masters today haven’t changed. They still pit brother against brother. They still whisper lies and watch us destroy each other.

Wars don’t start because of truth. They start because of lies.
And the men who start them never fight in them.
They just sit in their boardrooms and wave pens that send real men to die.

The Wisdom of Saying NO

“Let your ‘Yes’ be yes, and your ‘No’ be no.”
— Matthew 5:37

We need to start saying NO.

No to pushing the button.
No to pulling the trigger.
No to logging in.
No to building what we don’t believe in.

A king without men is just a man on an island.
A system without workers is just an empty shell.

And yet they still expect more for less—less pay, less respect, less rest, less voice.
There’s no honor in just obeying evil orders.
There’s no dignity in being told what to do by someone who’s never done it themselves.

The labor of men built this world.
But only God sustains it.

Six Days of Rest — July 1st through July 6th

Take it off.

No emails. No contracts. No deliveries. No trades. No side hustles. No side jobs.
Just rest, with your family.
Fix the back porch. Go fishing. Cook with your wife. Pray with your kids.
Be a man who serves his house, not the system.

And on the seventh day, watch what falls.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28

You’re not a cog in their machine. You’re a son of God. You were made for more than this.

We are not just workers. We are warriors, priests, and kings under the only King worth following.

The Shout Will Come

On the seventh day, let your shout be your return to the Lord.
Not to a job, not to a boss, not to a system that profits from your exhaustion.

“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray... I will heal their land.”
— 2 Chronicles 7:14

It’s time to walk away from the walls.
They can’t fall if you keep holding them up.

The rest is not weakness. It is warfare.

Let Jericho fall.
