Finding Truth in a World of Deception
by The Artist ONE
There are over 450 versions of the Bible—yes, from the King James to the New King James, the NIV, ESV, and everything in between. Each one slightly different in language, tone, and interpretation. With so many versions, so many voices, and so many doctrines, it’s no wonder people ask: How do we find spiritual truth?
It’s a fair question. In a world where confusion is a currency and deception is dressed as light, finding truth is not just a search—it’s a spiritual battle.
The Truth Hidden in the Waters
I believe the key to spiritual truth begins with baptism. And not just in ritual, but in understanding what water is—what it was from the beginning.
Let’s go back to the very start.
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
—Genesis 1:2
Before light, before land, before man—there was water. And the Spirit of God hovered over it. Think about that: the very first element we are introduced to in Scripture is water. Before the Word was spoken into existence, the waters were already there—formless, mysterious, alive with divine potential.
Many scientists now claim water holds memory, that it can retain information. What if, spiritually speaking, this is true? What if the memory of creation is still within the waters today, echoing the divine code spoken by God Himself?
Born of Water and Spirit
Jesus said it plainly:
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
—John 3:5
Water baptism is not a mere symbol—it’s a doorway. A passage. A cleansing not only of the body but of the vessel that will carry the Spirit of Truth. When you are baptized, you are submerged in something that was present at creation. The Spirit hovered over the water, and now the Spirit hovers over you.
But that water must be clean. And so must you.
“Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”
—Hebrews 10:22
We are not just washed with water, but also with the tears of God and the blood of Christ. Together, they allow us to become born again—not of flesh, but of Spirit.
And only then can the Spirit of God dwell within us.
“Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?”
—1 Corinthians 3:16
Discerning Truth in the Age of Lies
Every day brings new headlines, new science, new tech breakthroughs—and new lies. In this digital age, deepfakes and artificial intelligence are blurring reality. Even voices in conversations—like this one—can now be generated, predicted, and mimicked by machines.
The deception is so strong that even the elect could be fooled.
“For false christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
—Matthew 24:24
We are approaching an era when nothing will seem real. Fake music, fake people, fake news. It’s all part of a greater inversion, where the fake becomes real and the real is branded as fake. A lie becomes the truth and the truth is called a lie.
Sound familiar?
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness…”
—Isaiah 5:20
Even within the church, there is division. Hundreds of Bible versions, countless denominations, each claiming to possess truth. Who do you believe? Who do you trust?
And then came the phrase: Fake news.
Coined by a president, amplified by media, and now deeply embedded in our collective psychology. What once was a political jab has become a spiritual dilemma. If everything is fake… where is the truth?
He That Has an Ear…
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
—Revelation 2:7
These words weren’t just written for ancient times—they were meant for us. Right now. Truth today is not found on a screen, not in a tweet, not in a trending video. It is found in the quiet voice of the Spirit, speaking through the water within you.
God is still hovering over the waters—but now He’s waiting for you to enter them.
So what should we do? Here’s what I suggest:
1. Repent.
Turn away from the world and its false wisdom. Turn toward the One who is Truth.
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” —Matthew 3:2
2. Be Baptized.
Not just in word or symbolism—but in real, living water. Go in dirty, come out new.
“Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved…” —Mark 16:16
3. Be Born Again.
This is the rebirth Jesus spoke of. Flesh gives birth to flesh. Spirit gives birth to spirit.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” —2 Corinthians 5:17
4. Let the Spirit Dwell Within.
Once you’re washed, the Spirit comes to dwell in you—just like it hovered over the waters in Genesis.
“I will pour out my Spirit on all people…” —Joel 2:28
This may be the only way forward. The only way to truly know anything anymore in a world filled with digital illusions and counterfeit truths. If you want to hear the Spirit, you must be still. If you want the Spirit to dwell in you, you must be clean.
The truth is not hidden from us. It is hidden in us.
And the water still remembers.
