Blog Title: The Ted Cruz vs. Tucker Carlson Battle Royale — Misreading the Bible, Misrepresenting the Truth

The political ring just got a little more intense as Tucker Carlson and Senator Ted Cruz spar publicly over U.S. policy on Israel. But this “battle royale” reveals far more than political differences — it reveals a deeper spiritual and constitutional confusion that threatens the soul of our nation.

The Scripture in Question

Ted Cruz recently declared that anyone who stands with God must stand with Israel — specifically the modern nation-state formed in 1948. He cites Genesis 12:3 as proof:

"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed."
Genesis 12:3 (KJV)

At face value, this seems noble. But let’s dig a little deeper.

This promise was made to Abram, later named Abraham, whose grandson Jacob became Israel, the father of the twelve tribes. Yet Genesis 12:3 doesn’t say “nation of Israel” — it says “families of the earth.” This is a far broader promise — a spiritual inheritance — not a political endorsement of any one government or modern state.

The nation-state of Israel didn’t even exist until over a thousand years after Abraham, during the time of Saul, David, and Solomon, when the 12 tribes were united. That union lasted only 120 years before splitting into two: Judah (south) and Israel (north).

Later, due to disobedience, both houses were carried into captivity. The ten tribes of the north were scattered — and to this day, many believe they migrated and integrated into European and Western civilizations. You can trace hints of this through family crests, surnames, and ancient tribal identifiers.

Christ: The True Unifier

Scripture shows that true unity and blessing would not come through political alliances or militarized nationalism, but through the promised Seed — Jesus Christ.

“Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.”
Galatians 3:16 (KJV)

Through Christ, the parable of the Prodigal Son comes to life — the return of the scattered children of Israel, and the welcome of all nations into the family of God through grace.

So when politicians misread Genesis 12:3 as a carte blanche for supporting modern geopolitical decisions, they twist the Word of God to support political convenience.

A Dangerous Misreading — Of Both Bible and Constitution

If Ted Cruz misinterprets Scripture this blatantly, what about his reading of the U.S. Constitution? Has he also skipped over the words “We the People” and the protections that were meant to prevent entangling alliances and foreign entrapments?

This nation was not meant to be bound by cult-like devotion to any foreign power — including Israel, the Vatican, or global entities. Our founders warned about it:

"Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations — entangling alliances with none."
Thomas Jefferson

So when a leader says, “We must support Israel no matter what,” we must ask: Based on what?
A misread Bible verse? A personal bias? Or a political fundraising strategy?

The Real Crisis: No Foundation, No Understanding

We are watching a generation of leaders who stand on nothing because they understand nothing. They do not understand:

  • The Bible

  • The Constitution

  • The difference between covenant and contract

  • The difference between spiritual Israel and modern Israel

  • Or even the principles of truth, humility, or accountability

And when challenged, they don’t repent — they double down, call names, or twist the conversation. They are like:

"The blind leading the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
Matthew 15:14 (KJV)

Conclusion: A Nation Without Understanding is a Nation in Peril

This isn't just about Israel. It's about the lack of discernment in our so-called leaders.
We are warned:

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee."
Hosea 4:6 (KJV)

In times like these, may we not fall into blind allegiance to men or nations, but instead return to the foundation of God’s Word, rightly divided and understood in context.

Because if we stand on nothing, we will sink into the sands of time — and we may drag many with us.
