The Devil's Art of WAR

A Stern Warning to Online Media

Two weeks ago, the tragic news of Charlie Kirks assassination shook many. On my TikTok channel, I remained silent at first. A few days later, I explained why: I sensed that soon we would see the conservative right begin to turn on each other. This, I warned, is exactly what the enemy does—he plays both sides to further his objective of weakening a movement.

I confess, I had never watched a Charlie Kirks show, nor did I know much about his organization Turning Point. Yet it appeared he was attempting to build something—something now shaken to its core.

In this age of clicks, headlines, and instant outrage, far too many rush to claim they have the answers while sitting behind a desk, looking at clips uploaded online. “This is the guy,” “This is the reason,” “This is the smoking gun”—but in truth, you or I do not know.

As I often say, “Time will tell, and all things are revealed in time.” At every turning point, when deception may be in play, this remains my anchor. And to be honest, it is always about deception.

Bearing False Witness

For all the people online making claims, beware: you open yourselves up to being taken down—not only in biblical terms but also in legal terms. The ninth commandment warns,

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour” (Exodus 20:16, KJV).

In legal language, we call this defamation:

  • Slander is defamation spoken or conveyed through gestures.

  • Libel is defamation written or published in a permanent form—print, online, or pictures.

When you see what so many are doing, they could all be taken down. Hiding behind the label “press” may not save them; their opposition can bury them in legal costs.

I grieve for Charlie’s family and children—not only for the loss of a father but also because they must now watch a world of commentators and influencers, people they may have trusted, turn quickly to speculation and accusation for the sake of clicks.

Learning from Gideon

The Book of Judges provides a powerful lesson. Gideon was commanded to thin his army before battle. Yet in the end, it was not a battle at all. The key moment came when he chose men who did not drink like dogs, with their faces in the water, but those who scooped up water with their hands, keeping their eyes on their surroundings:

“Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink” (Judges 7:5, KJV).

“And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men” (Judges 7:6, KJV).

In my opinion, when you have your face in the water, you cannot see the enemy coming. This is what I’m witnessing today—all the commentators, podcasters, and influencers burying their faces in the muddy waters of speculation. They have no idea the enemy is waiting to take them out.

Just like Gideon’s battle, many will see lights, think they are surrounded, and end up destroying themselves through confusion, fear, and lack of awareness—all because they forgot to listen to the Spirit of the Lord.

The Ripple Effect – A Prophetic Warning

This moment may mark a turning point for the conservative right. Instead of unity in the face of adversity, factions may splinter, leaders may cannibalize each other, and voices that once stood side by side may start tearing one another down.

On social media, the temptation to “own the story” or “break the news” will only intensify. Platforms thrive on outrage, division, and speculation—it drives clicks, traffic, and revenue. But what will it cost?

Prophetically, the cost is enormous:

  • For the right wing: A fractured house cannot stand. If they continue devouring each other, they will become powerless against greater forces of darkness.

  • For social media: A breeding ground for lies, false witness, and staged outrage. The “public square” becomes a trap of confusion where truth is drowned out.

  • For the Christian community: The same spirit of deception is already at work. Recently, entire online campaigns rallied around rapture dates—proclaimed with confidence, shared with urgency, and spread across social media platforms. Yet the dates came and went. Those who shouted loudest were forced to admit they were wrong, leaving behind confusion and disappointment. Many new believers, who placed their hope in those voices, are now wandering—wondering if they were deceived, or worse, if the faith itself was false.

This is the devil’s subtle art of war. He does not need to strike from without when he can cause collapse from within. By spreading confusion, stirring false claims, and sowing division, he leaves movements and ministries wounded, and hearts disillusioned.

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand” (Matthew 12:25, KJV).

A Call for Discernment

Things are heating up in the world right now. We need men and women who are wise, who keep a sharp eye out, and who lean more than ever upon the guidance of the Lord:

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong” (1 Corinthians 16:13, KJV).

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8, KJV).

This is not the time for muddy waters or reactionary headlines. This is the time for prayer, discernment, and patience. “Time will tell”—but only if we are still enough to hear God’s voice.

Practical Advice for Today

  1. Pause before you post. Ask yourself, “Am I bearing false witness?” (Exodus 20:16).

  2. Be slow to speak. “Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” (James 1:19, KJV).

  3. Seek God’s wisdom first. Before drawing conclusions, pray and wait. God reveals in His time.

  4. Guard the young in faith. Do not throw out dates, claims, or speculations that can stumble new believers.

  5. Keep your eyes up. Like Gideon’s 300, scoop the water—don’t bury your face in it. Stay aware.

The battle lines are being drawn, not only in politics but in the spiritual realm. If we fail to discern the times, we will turn our weapons against one another instead of standing united in truth. But if we remain vigilant, prayerful, and anchored in God’s Word, we will not be shaken when the world is consumed by deception
